Join us for evening of literature as Dr Joe Carlson shares his passion for Dante’s Divine Comedy, walking through selections from each of the three parts of the poem (Inferno, Purgatorio, and Paradiso), and highlights how the journey of the pilgrim out of the dark wood of his own sinful unbelief toward the beauty and majesty of Jesus mirrors our own.
Widely considered the greatest poem ever written, the Comedy forces us to answer these fundamental questions: Who are we and what are we for? What is the good of the intellect and the nature of the world God has made?
